Prosecutor okays child-abuse charges vs 6 Xavier academics

The City Prosecutor’s Office on Monday pressed child abuse charges against six Xavier University Grade School (XUGS) academics.

Two of the eight respondents – Xavier president Fr. Jose Ramon Villarin, S.J. and guidance counselor Annie Oclarit – were not included in the case, according to assistant prosecutor Rodrigo Talledo Sr.

Former city hospital chief calls JR Borja hospital present status pitiful

The facilities and services of the city government-run J.R. Borja General Hospital could have been improved if the equipment, drugs and medicines donated by other sources were accepted.

Former City Hospital Chief Dr. Vincent Tero disclosed that too much politics played at the city hall-run hospital pushes it into a “pitiful” state.

Coalition unfazed over Gandarosa’s lawsuit threat
